Dota 2

Dota 2 is an online strategy game where two teams of 5 players each face off to destroy their enemy’s ancient building. Players choose one of 119 characters, or “heroes,” each with a unique set of skills, which they can develop by collecting gold and experience points throughout the game.

Since teams cannot contain two of the same heroes, players need to work together and communicate well to develop and execute their winning strategy. Therefore, our coaches will focus on developing leadership and communication skills, as the players need to understand the core competencies of each hero, and how to use them to the team’s advantage.

There are different classes of heroes, such as carries and supports, so players need to reflect on their own mindset to decide which role would be most suitable for them. For example, a carry is expected to lead and inspire their team, which may be difficult for an introvert player to do–however, this would be a great learning opportunity for them to become more outgoing.
Finally, after every match, the players need to evaluate their strategies and reflect on them, so even when a match is over, the learning never ends!
